Our design process

Phase one: Discovery

Every project opens with a structured briefing at your property or our studio. We document room dimensions, existing conditions, and your aspirations across lifestyle, budget, and timeline. This visit typically lasts two hours and costs €120, deducted from future fees.

Within one week you receive a written summary confirming scope, preliminary budget bands, and a proposed schedule. No design work begins until both parties sign a engagement letter.

Phase two: Concept design

Over three to four weeks we develop layout options, material palettes, and three-dimensional sketches that communicate spatial intent. Two presentation meetings allow you to react, refine, and approve a single direction before technical documentation starts.

Concept packages include annotated floor plans, elevation drawings for key walls, and a mood board with physical samples where possible.

Phase three: Technical documentation

Approved concepts become contractor-ready drawing sets: demolition plans, reflected ceiling layouts, electrical and lighting schemes, joinery details, and tile setting drawings. We coordinate with your arquitecto técnico to align structural interventions.

FF&E schedules list every specified item with dimensions, supplier references, lead times, and unit costs. Budget tracking spreadsheets update weekly during this phase.

Phase four: Construction oversight

Fortnightly site visits ensure finishes match specifications and resolve issues before they compound. We attend key milestones — first fix, plaster completion, joinery installation — and maintain a photographic log shared via secure folder.

Site administration adds approximately €750 per visit plus travel for locations outside Valencia city. Remote projects may require monthly rather than fortnightly attendance.

Phase five: Styling and handover

Furniture delivery, art hanging, and final accessory placement happen in a concentrated styling week. We adjust lamp heights, fold throws, and place botanical elements so the space photographs and feels complete on day one.

Handover includes a maintenance manual, supplier contact list, and a follow-up visit thirty days later to address settling issues or minor adjustments covered under our warranty period.
